About us:
Five years ago we were introduced to each other by a mutual friend and like the fairy tale says we’ve been inseparable ever since. Ken works in the hospitality industry in Guest Relations/Services and Tyler works in television broadcasting in News Production. We also own a catalog business selling home and garden accessories.
We are both extremely family oriented and have always known that the day would come when we would want to have children of our own. We have two adorable pets, Gromit and Pharoh. Gromit, our dog, not only loves to romp and play with children, but also takes on the role of protector. Pharoh, our cat, loves to be adored by children and will take a rub and a tickle whenever offered.
Our Home:
We moved into our current home in Reno, Nevada four years ago with the express intent of having some room for a growing family. Now, after a few landscaping improvements and a little creative gardening, our backyard is every kid’s dream. There is a fenced-in lawn to play with the animals, a garden to plant herbs and vegetables, fruit trees to nurture and a play area for all sorts of fun things like forts and swing-sets.
Tyler: (by Ken)
Tyler has the ability to bring out the best in people. Tyler’s very empathetic and people adore him because of it. He is always looking at the bright side of life, and even a Gloomy Gus doesn’t stand a chance when Tyler is around.
Tyler has always had a huge appetite for knowledge and is constantly reading or watching educational television. His ability to share his vast wealth of knowledge with others is amazing. I look forward to him sharing with our child all that the world has to offer. He also possesses a child-like sense of wonder that is quite contagious. He can go from being studious and balancing the busy schedule of day to day life, to happily playing a game of Candy Land. I have no doubt that he will be a great Dad.

Ken: (by Tyler)
Ken has brought joy, comfort and stability into my life. People are drawn to him and for good reason – he happily wears his heart on his sleeve and is the most passionate, trusting and caring person I know. He loves life and enjoys living it to the fullest. He is truly my very best friend .
Ken has always loved children and at a young age took great pride in being the big brother- caring for and nurturing his younger siblings. He loves to baby-sit his nieces and nephews whenever possible. His love is more than evident as he plays with them for hours on end. Being a great Dad will not only come easy to him, but it will also make him the happiest man on Earth.
Family and friends:
Family and friends are our greatest asset. We feel extremely blessed that everyone is thrilled that we’ve decided to adopt.
On Ken’s side, our child will have a great-grandmother and great-grandfather, grandmother and grandfather, three aunts, two uncles, a great-uncle, a great aunt and literally oodles of cousins – all in town or mere minutes away! On Tyler’s side are two grandfathers in Oregon who plan to spoil their grandchild rotten every chance they get.
Every week or so, our family gets together for BBQ’s or dinners, just to keep everybody up to date on the family.

Fun and recreation:
We love the great outdoors and enjoy doing anything that involves a little sunshine. We like to go camping and often do so during vacations and long weekends. Day trips are fun for us as well and we often make little jaunts to places like Lake Tahoe or the Sierra Hot Springs.
We also like to stay active and expand our minds. Visiting museums, aquariums and zoos are fun ways that we like to further educate ourselves.
Music is another love of ours and we attend concerts of all sorts whenever possible. We firmly believe that music is not only the universal language, but a necessary component of a happy life.
