Why Open Adoption?:
Open adoption is very important to us because we want you to know that your baby will be nurtured, cherished and loved. We are very hopeful about having an on-going relationship that is comfortable for all of us. We think it is important for your child to know how much they are loved and that you made your decision based on what was best for the both of you. We would like to build a friendship with you, but are willing to respect your boundaries.

Geoff on Kathy: Kathy is a very kind and caring person. She has a sunny disposition and a great zest for life. She chose a career in Speech Pathology because she loves working with children. She grew up in a large family and is still close to her brothers and sisters. They always have a great time when everyone gets together to go sleigh riding or swimming. Kathy loves gardening and going for walks. She looks forward to being outside with her child as they make mud pies together or walk to the park to play on the swings. Kathy will be a great mom because she gives children a lot of attention and makes them feel important and loved.

Kathy on Geoff: Geoff is a gentle and loving person. He has an easy smile and acts like a “big kid” around his nieces and nephews. He works as an insurance claims examiner. When our baby arrives, Geoff will take six weeks off of work and reduce his schedule to four days a week. Geoff enjoys running marathons with his friends. He was raised in England and has traveled all over the world. He visits his father in England twice a year. His brother and sister live nearby in California. He looks forward to educating his child on different cultures. Geoff loves history and likes to explore ancient ruins. He can’t wait to bring his child along on expeditions. Geoff will be an awesome dad because of his great sense of humor and ability to make children laugh.

Our Home:
Citrus Heights is just east of Sacramento, close to the Sierra foothills and 90 miles from San Francisco. We live on half an acre of land with beautiful Oak and Pine trees. We picture our child having fun exploring the creek for frogs and tiptoeing through the garden in search of ladybugs. Lots of young children live in our neighborhood, so our baby will have plenty of playmates. We also celebrate the Fourth of July with our neighbors complete with swimming, BBQ and fireworks. Family gatherings at our home include a big Christmas party. We look forward to the excitement on our child’s face as they open presents with their cousins.

Our Future: We want our child to understand that we live in beautiful world and we should appreciate people, animals and nature. We will guide our child to grow up to be a strong and independent adult who wants to contribute to the world in a positive way. If our child has a special interest or talent, we will foster that and be supportive. We want our child to know that they can depend on us and that our love is constant.
